PREVIOUS EVENTS:

The Annual Great Pumpkin Festival has been cancelled for the last 2 years due to COVID restrictions. We hope to restart the great day of family fun celebrating the “grow it, make it and do it” ethos of the residents in 2022.

The 150th anniversary of the opening of the Murmungee Hall was held on Saturday 30 March, 2019.

The Hall is the only Heritage listed building in Murmungee and was built only 12 years after the first agricultural lots were selected. Recently upgraded it holds significant documents and memorabilia of the era. During the celebration a book of the Early History of the district was launched.

Join us for a weekend to celebrate this iconic building and the official opening of its new amenities and storeroom.

This will be followed by afternoon tea and an information session on the local history of the Bowmans Murmungee district presented by Royce Sample, together with the launch of his new book "Gold, Grog and Good Ground".

Other events include:

  • A BBQ tea from 6.30-7.30pm (BYO drinks)
  • A bush dance from 7.30-9.30pm with music provided by Ron Dawson and friends
  • A static display in the hall of photos and memorabilia available Saturday from 2pm and Sunday from 10am-3pm
